Mission	The primary purpose of the gift show is support of the TJ crew community: to earn money for the team, with style, innovation and favorable attention, through a gift show that is both a unique market and event. (Crew is a self-funded independent activity in Fairfax County, Virginia.) In short, the Gift Show is for the shared benefit of the arts/crafts community and TJ Crew. The vendors keep their entire proceeds, and Crew retains 100% of the fees and food sales in its control.

RULES
Originality	The show should emphasize originality, through one-of-a-kind art and artifacts, though small limited editions are permitted. No blatant kitsch, copies, corruptions or mass productions are allowed: No sales reps, or resale sellers are permitted. Exhibitors may only show work typified by slides/photographs. Past exhibitors at TJ are given additional considerations.
Space	Tables may be shared, by not more than two individuals or groups. Exhibitors may not sublet or apportion space to anyone else. Nothing shall be nailed, stapled or otherwise fixed to the walls, floors or any part of the exhibition rooms. Exhibitor's booth must not interfere with adjacent exhibits in any way. All exhibits are to be in keeping with the overall family-oriented theme of the show. No exhibit may be dismantled or removed from the premises before 4 P.M. Exhibitors are not to bring pets to the show. Tobacco products and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. All extension cords used at the show must be heavy-duty three-wire type. One cord is to be used per outlet. Exhibitors shall be liable for delivery, handling, erection and removal of their own displays and materials. Exhibitors will be assigned their space number the morning of the show and notified at that time. Food vendors must obtain all necessary licenses and permits. Food vendors are required to send a copy of their Board of Health Certificate with their completed application.
Restrictions	Show organizers reserve the right to restrict exhibits which, because of noise, method of operation, or any other reason, become objectionable or otherwise detract from or are out of keeping with the character of the show as a whole. The show organizers may also prohibit installation or request removal or the discontinuance of any exhibit or promotion, which if continued, departs from the design and description given advanced approval.In the event of any such restriction or eviction, the show organizers are not liable for any refund of rental or other expenses.
Fees proceeds taxes refunds	Vendor checks must be received with application. A $35 fee will be charged on any check returned by Exhibitor's bank. All proceeds from sales go to the vendors. The show organizers assume no responsibility for the collection of Virginia sales tax. Such collection is the responsibility and duty of each Exhibitor at the time of sale. No refunds will be given after October 16, 2009.
Insurance	Insurance, if desired by the Exhibitors, must be obtained by them at their own expense.
Liability	TJHSST and the show organizers shall not be liable for for damage or loss to any crafter's property through theft, fire, accident or other cause, whether the result of negligence or otherwise. The Exhibitor shall indemnify TJHSST and the show organizers against and hold them harmless from any complaints, suits, or liabilities resulting from negligence of the Exhibitor in connection with the Exhibitor's use of display space. TJHSST and the show organizers assume no liability for any injury that may occur to visitors to the show, exhibitor's associates and employees, or others. Exhibitors agree not to make claims against TJHSST or the show organizers.

Exceptions	Exceptions to the rules may be allowed in special situations, but only after written request is made in a timely manner and written permission is granted. Regardless, contract must be signed as is, before we will consider rewriting it. Still, we will make every attempt to accommodate your needs for this show.
